We are developing strategies to guide the responsible use of AI for the benefit of our community, economy, and public sector.

AI for Better Government

We're developing a strategy for how government will use AI to improve our work and the services we provides to the community. The goal is to make government services more helpful, faster, and easier for everyone in South Australia.

The strategy will:

• Set a long-term vision for how government will use AI to improve its work and services
• Identify key areas where AI can help, such as making tasks easier or services more user-friendly
• Ensure government staff have the right skills, access to secure AI tools, and use AI in safe, ethical, and effective ways

How you can get involved

In January 2026 we published a discussion paper for consideration. We always welcome ideas, feedback and input that will help shape the future direction of government services in South Australia.
